Valour Enters Actively Managed Hedge Funds with AI-Powered Smart Crypto Fund
Valour, the digital asset exchange-traded products arm of DeFi Technologies, has launched its first hedge fund under its new Valour Funds SPC structure. The Smart Crypto Fund SP uses artificial intelligence from Neuronomics AG to decide positions, risk levels, and when to reduce exposure across different digital assets.
The fund is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is available only to professional and qualified investors. It operates without a fixed basket of assets, instead applying an AI methodology that analyzes price, volume, and other market data across short and medium-term horizons.
Johan Wattenström, executive chairman of DeFi Technologies, stated that the goal is to extend Valour's offering 'beyond exchange-traded products and into actively managed hedge fund strategies.' The new product complements a catalog of over 100 digital asset ETPs, making it one of the broadest among international managers of this type.
