Van Rossem Hard Fork Sparks Whale Buying in Cardano
Cardano's recent Van Rossem hard fork has sparked whale buying activity as ADA enters its Dijkstra era. The upgrade, implemented on July 19, brought significant improvements to Cardano's network, including enhanced core performance, security, and transaction scalability.
The hard fork upgraded the mainnet to protocol version 11, introducing more scalable and cost-efficient smart contracts, as well as improved node security. It marked the beginning of the Dijkstra era, which will see three key upgrades rolled out: Peras, Ouroboros Leios, and Nested Transactions.
According to market analyst Cardano Feed, whales have purchased 240 million ADA tokens over the past five days, indicating renewed confidence in the chain. This surge has enabled ADA to recover from its July lows, with the price currently trading at $0.1921, up 22.8% and 5.6% over the past week and month respectively.
The asset is now forming a bullish flag pattern, which has historically preceded significant price gains. Based on this technical indicator, ADA may surge to the $0.53788 resistance level in the coming days.
