VanEck Sees Bitcoin Rallying to $100K as Fiscal Anxiety Grows
Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Assets Research at VanEck, predicts Bitcoin could reclaim its 'six-figure mark' by next year. In a recent interview with CNBC, Sigel stated that mounting fiscal anxiety and structural market shifts are creating an environment favorable for a meaningful rally in the crypto asset.
According to Sigel, institutional appetite remains resilient despite turbulent macroeconomic conditions. He emphasized that Bitcoin's annualized price volatility has decreased by about 50% compared to four years ago, indicating a maturing asset class under institutional stewardship rather than speculative retail trading.
The worsening global sovereign debt landscape is also contributing to the stability of Bitcoin, Sigel noted. Governments are 'over-indebted', forcing fiscal authorities into precarious positions that often favor hard-cap assets like Bitcoin.
Despite regulatory hurdles, including the recent legislative stalemate on the Clarity Act, crypto adoption continues to outpace delay. If global monetary policy pivots toward easing and fiscal deficits keep expanding, Sigel believes the calendar favors Bitcoin bulls aiming for $100,000 in the coming year.
