Verona Unveils Stablecoin verUSD for AI Agent Payments
Verona, formerly known as XION, has introduced verUSD, a dollar-denominated stablecoin designed for AI agent payments and transactions involving verified data. The company has secured over $100 million in combined revenue and capital commitments from investors and ecosystem partners.
The stablecoin is issued through Brale and aims to provide a dedicated settlement asset for transactions conducted across Verona's infrastructure. Participants supporting the launch include Animoca Ventures, Figment Capital, Sfermion, Pentos, Ero, and Arkstream, among others.
Verona has designed verUSD as the settlement currency for AI-agent payments and verified-data transactions, connecting data verification and payment activity through the same network infrastructure. The token is initially available on seven blockchain networks: Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, Celo, and Solana.
