Vietnam Poised to Lead Tokenized Real-World Assets Market
Vietnam is positioning itself to become an early mover in the emerging market of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). This development aims to improve operational efficiency, enhance transparency, and facilitate cross-border capital flows.
The country has three key advantages: an evolving regulatory framework, emerging blockchain infrastructure, and a large and active user base. The Law on Digital Technology Industry, which took effect on January 1, 2026, formally recognizes digital assets and crypto assets. Government Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP establishes a foundation for issuance, trading, and licensing, paving the way for RWA development.
Experts note that tokenized RWAs create substantial value for financial markets if supported by an appropriate regulatory framework. Tokenization can improve liquidity, reduce intermediary costs, and enable fractional ownership, expanding fundraising opportunities from both domestic and international investors.
