Virtuals Protocol Introduces AI-Powered Trading App in iOS Closed Beta
Virtuals Protocol has launched its Virtuals App in a closed beta on iOS, inviting select users to experience a personal AI that can manage a wallet, monitor markets, and execute trades within user-defined limits. The app allows users to set tasks, spending boundaries, and permissions for the AI, enabling it to automatically trade when specific conditions are met. Early testers are already using the app to trade based on social media posts, track market conversations, and monitor token sniper wallets from entry to exit.
Users can discuss investment strategies with the AI, conduct research, and issue instructions for automated trading. Unlike traditional assistants that stop after providing research, Virtuals' AI continues to monitor information and act when predefined conditions are satisfied. For example, one user configured an agent to open a $1,000 leveraged position on Ether when it moved 2% within five minutes and close it after a specified social media post.
The app supports group chats, allowing friends to collaborate on investment ideas while the AI executes assigned tasks. Virtuals Protocol has been developing infrastructure for autonomous AI agents for years, integrating technologies like Agent Commerce Protocol to enable AI-driven economic transactions. The company has not yet announced when the app will transition from closed beta to open access.
Virtuals App enters a growing market where crypto companies are increasingly granting AI systems access to wallets and trading tools. Competitors like Binance, Revolut, and MetaMask have also introduced AI-driven trading features, though with varying levels of user approval requirements. Virtuals has not disclosed detailed information on its custody model or transaction approval processes for automated trading.
