Visa Outlines Stablecoin Strategy Amid Record Revenue Growth
Visa has outlined its stablecoin strategy during its Q3 earnings call. The company reported fiscal third-quarter revenue of $11.6 billion, up 14% from a year earlier. This growth was driven by double-digit increases in payments volume and processed transactions.
Visa is investing across the entire stablecoin stack, including blockchain, issuance, wallets, infrastructure, and applications. The company has joined the OpenStandard consortium to issue the OpenUSD stablecoin for global money movement.
The Visa stablecoin platform will enable partners to settle with Visa in stablecoins, provide onchain wallet-as-a-service infrastructure, and move money between fiat currencies and stablecoins, beginning with OpenUSD.
