Visa Sees Big Growth in Q3, Plans to Expand Stablecoin Reach
Visa's Q3 revenue rose 14% to $11.6 billion, driven by increased payments and cross-border volumes.
The company outlined its broad stablecoin strategy during its earnings call on July 28, which includes OpenUSD as the first supported token and a multi-coin, multi-chain approach.
Visa's stablecoin settlement pilot has reached an annualized run rate of $7 billion across nine blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.
The company plans to connect its stablecoin platform with Pismo, a cloud-based banking infrastructure provider it acquired in 2024, to support tokenized deposits.
