Visa Stablecoin Volume Surges Past $20 Billion Annualized
Visa's stablecoin settlement volume has surpassed $20 billion annualized, up more than 15 times year over year. This sharp expansion in settlement activity is attributed to Visa's growing stablecoin infrastructure.
The payment company reported that its U.S. stablecoin settlement volume had reached more than $3.5 billion in annualized stablecoin settlement volume as of November 30, 2025. However, this figure is not directly comparable to the later reading due to differences in geographic scope and reporting context.
Visa also disclosed that more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs were live globally in its fiscal second quarter 2026. Payment volume on these programs grew nearly 200% year over year, indicating a significant increase in usage of Visa's stablecoin framework.
The company's U.S. stablecoin settlement framework allows select issuer and acquirer partners to settle VisaNet obligations using Circle's USDC over supported blockchains. This arrangement supports seven-day settlement windows, including weekends and holidays, rather than the traditional five-business-day window.
