Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed EIP-8141 to simplify Ethereum wallets. The proposal aims to allow multiple actions in one transaction, supporting key rotation and enabling apps to pay users' gas fees.

This could make Ethereum more user-friendly for newcomers by combining steps like token approval and swapping into a single confirmation.

The proposal also adds support for stronger cryptographic signatures and is under consideration for the upcoming Hegotá upgrade, though no activation date has been set yet. Developers are currently focused on the Glamsterdam upgrade expected in late 2026.
