Real Bedford Banks $4.5 Million from Winklevoss Twins for Bitcoin Integration
Real Bedford, an English non-league football club, has secured $4.5 million in funding from Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss to integrate Bitcoin (BTC) into its operations.
The investment aims to make Real Bedford a global BTC brand, allowing fans to purchase tickets, food, beverages, and merchandise using BTC.
Some players and staff will receive their salaries in BTC, making the club one of the first to experiment with using BTC as an operational asset and payment method.
The $4.5 million funding is related to Real Bedford's growth plans, including entering the English Football League, building a new stadium, and developing a youth academy.
