Vitalik Buterin Reveals Ethereum's Decentralized Evolution
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has outlined his vision for the future of the blockchain platform. In an interview, he discussed how Ethereum will shift beyond being a traditional blockchain and become something more comprehensive.
Buterin emphasized that Ethereum's current limitations as a decentralized database are holding it back from reaching its full potential. He believes that the platform needs to evolve into a decentralized computer or operating system for smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
The co-founder stated, 'We're not just building a blockchain. We're trying to build something much more general-purpose.' He also mentioned that Ethereum will need to integrate various technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in order to become truly decentralized.
Buterin's 2030 vision for Ethereum includes transforming it into a 'decentralized autonomous organization' that can handle complex tasks and provide real-time feedback. He believes this will enable the platform to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, making it more efficient and resilient.
