Volatility Shares Delays 3x XRP ETF Launch Again
Volatility Shares has pushed back its planned launch of the 3x XRP ETF to October 18, 2026. The company filed a regulatory document on September 18, which states that this date will be the new effective date for the fund's registration statement. However, it's essential to note that this does not mean the ETF will begin trading on October 18. The filing explicitly mentions that its purpose is to delay the effectiveness of an earlier amendment covering the 3x XRP ETF.
The proposed fund would allow investors to target roughly three times XRP's daily performance, which can be a significant increase in volatility. For example, if XRP gains 5% in one session, a perfectly tracking 3x product could theoretically correspond to a 15% move before fees and other effects.
This development comes as XRP has become increasingly embedded in U.S. investment products. Spot XRP ETFs have accumulated roughly $1.7 billion in historical net inflows, even while XRP remains well below its previous record.
