Volatility Shares Pushes 3x XRP ETF to October 18 Without Launch Confirmation
Volatility Shares has pushed back its planned effective date for the registration of its 3x XRP ETF to October 18, according to a recent regulatory filing. This delay is not an indication that the product will launch on this date, but rather a way to extend the timeline for the fund's registration statement.
The filing, which remains active, designates October 18, 2026 as the new effective date for the registration of the proposed ETF. However, it does not confirm that the product will begin trading on this date. This distinction is important because the XRP ETF market is already crowded with spot and leveraged products.
The proposed 3x XRP ETF would be more aggressive than existing leveraged XRP products, as it aims to target roughly three times XRP's daily performance. This means that compounding can produce very different results over longer periods, particularly when XRP is volatile.
