Volmex CEO Predicts Bitcoin Will Soar to $500,000 Within Two Years
Cole Kennelly, founder and CEO of Volmex Labs, predicts that Bitcoin could soar to as high as $500,000 within roughly two years. This would be a gain of roughly 540% from its current price of $84,269.
Volmex Labs measures volatility with its Bitcoin Volmex Implied Volatility Index, which determines the market's forward-looking expectation for Bitcoin. The company also launched BVIV-US earlier this year, an index that derives Bitcoin volatility expectations from options tied to BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).
This forecast is noteworthy because it's not unprecedented. Standard Chartered previously forecasted that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by the end of 2028. However, in December 2025, they pushed their target back to 2030 due to weaker corporate buying.
