Volmex Labs Sees Bitcoin Price Soaring to $500,000 in Two Years
Cole Kennelly, founder and CEO of cryptocurrency volatility specialist Volmex Labs, has made a bold prediction about Bitcoin's future price. According to him, BTC could soar to as high as $500,000 within two years.
This would mean a gain of roughly 540% from the current price of $84,269, as reported by CoinGecko data. To put this in perspective, that's more than six times the current level.
Kennelly's forecast is based on Volmex Labs' expertise in measuring volatility, specifically through their Bitcoin Volmex Implied Volatility Index (BVIV-US). This index determines the market's forward-looking expectation for Bitcoin's price movement.
Notably, this prediction isn't entirely unprecedented. Standard Chartered previously forecasted a $500,000 target by 2028, although they later pushed it back to 2030 due to weaker corporate buying. Other notable figures, including ARK Invest CEO and Galaxy Digital founder Mike Novogratz, have also made similar calls in the past.
