Walt Takes Over Telegram Wallet, Gram Emerges as Entry Point

Toncoin-focused wallet within Telegram is rebranding as Walt, according to its new Twitter handle and CEO Andrew Rogozov.

The rebranding reflects the product's evolution beyond its initial function as a basic wallet for buying Toncoin and Bitcoin into a more comprehensive crypto platform offering trading, earning products, multi-chain assets, tokenized stocks, and gold.

Rogozov said that Telegram's new Gram wallet will serve as an entry point for simpler payments and transfers, allowing users to buy and hold Gram, send Gifts, purchase Stars, transfer funds, and interact with apps and services within Telegram.

The Gram wallet is expected to bring in a larger group of users into crypto before they move on to more advanced financial products offered through Walt. The rebranding process does not require users to migrate their accounts or assets, ensuring that existing funds, settings, and account information remain unchanged.
