Warren Accuses Trump of Prioritizing Crypto Fortune Over Americans
Senator Elizabeth Warren has accused President Donald Trump of prioritizing his own financial interests over those of the American people. Warren pointed to the Trump family's cryptocurrency ventures, including World Liberty Financial (WLFI) and the Official Trump (CRYPTO: TRUMP) memecoin, which she claims have generated billions of dollars in revenue.
Warren noted that World Liberty Trust Co. secured conditional approval for a national trust bank charter, giving Trump a new way to profit. She concluded that Trump is 'not working for you, he's working for himself.'
According to Trump's 2025 financial disclosure, he earned over $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency ventures, including $520 million from WLFI token sales and over $635 million in royalties from the TRUMP memecoin.
The White House has rejected allegations of conflict of interest, with a World Liberty Financial spokesperson stating that the banking charter will ensure 'permanent regulatory supervision.'
