Warren Slams CLARITY Act as 'Written by the Crypto Industry'

Share

Sen. Elizabeth Warren has renewed her criticism of the CLARITY Act, stating that it prioritizes the interests of the cryptocurrency industry over consumer protection, national security, and financial stability.

In an interview on Capitol Hill on August 6, Warren emphasized her support for federal legislation governing digital assets but rejected the current proposal, calling it 'not good crypto legislation.'

Warren argued that the CLARITY Act would benefit cryptocurrency firms while failing to adequately protect retail investors and the broader financial system.

The Senator tied her opposition to President Donald Trump's growing involvement in digital assets and suggested that the bill could further benefit Trump's cryptocurrency ventures, stating 'It helps Donald Trump make his next $1.4 billion on crypto scams.'
