Warsh Inflation Vow Sinks Bitcoin Below $80,000
Bitcoin's price dipped below $80,000 on Friday after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh reaffirmed the Fed's commitment to bringing inflation back down to target. Speaking on August 28, 2026, Warsh emphasized that financial conditions are not currently restrictive and that inflation must move clearly toward the Fed's target.
This vow pushed short-term Treasury yields higher, cooling some of the week's risk-on momentum. As a result, Bitcoin eased with other rate-sensitive assets but remained well above levels seen earlier this month.
