Warsh's Jackson Hole Speech Could Spark Bitcoin Breakout to $100,000
The Bitcoin price has been fluctuating around $80,000, still below its August peak of $83,000. A breakout above this level could lead to a further rally towards $100,000.
Newly appointed Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh will deliver his debut speech at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium tonight. The market expects his speech to be bullish for Bitcoin, as he is likely to emphasize the Fed's shift towards data-driven policy and possibly express support for financial innovation, including cryptocurrencies.
Warsh has reduced traditional forward guidance since taking office in May 2026, focusing on acting on data rather than signaling rate cuts. This means his speech may focus more on internal Fed reforms and how central banks operate, according to Luke Tilley, chief economist at M&T Bank.
The Jackson Hole Symposium theme this year is 'Financial Innovation: Implications for Payments and Policy', which could lead Warsh to discuss cryptocurrencies in his speech. If he expresses support for payment stablecoin legislation or decentralized finance technology, it could boost crypto market confidence and push Bitcoin's price towards $83,000.
However, if Warsh displays a dovish stance on inflation or hints at room for future rate cuts, it could weigh on U.S. Treasury yields and the U.S. Dollar Index, releasing global liquidity and making a BTC breakout above $90,000 extremely likely.
