Weak US Jobs Data Fuels Rate Cut Bets as Bitcoin Holds Steady

The latest US jobs data has sparked concerns about a weakening labor market, fueling bets of a potential interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its job openings and labor turnover survey for July, which showed job openings at 7.271 million, with hires and total separations near 5.1 million.

This data points to a widening gap between hires and separations, with the latter dropping to 5.07 million in July, the lowest since April.

The Fed's next interest rate decision is due on September 16, and economists are now weighing whether the August non-farm payrolls report will confirm this weakness.

Market analysts suggest that a second soft print would extend the run of weak readings and keep the crypto market reaction jobs theme alive, potentially adding momentum to rate cut bets later this year.
