Webull Partners with X to Connect Crypto and Stock Discussions to Trading
Webull has officially joined X’s Cashtag Partner Program, creating a direct link between discussions about stocks and cryptocurrencies on the platform and its own trading services. Announced on October 2, this partnership allows users to access real-time quotes, charts, and order entry features directly from X’s interface. The collaboration also opens the door to incorporating social media data, such as investor sentiment and emerging market narratives, into trading decisions.
Anthony Denier, Webull’s group president and U.S. CEO, emphasized the significance of this integration, stating that the next generation of investing will be shaped by how technology seamlessly connects information, intelligence, and action. The partnership covers both company shares and digital assets, reflecting the diverse ways in which investors engage with different types of assets. While traditional stocks represent ownership in a business, cryptocurrencies like bitcoin can be held, transferred, and used for payments.
The Cashtag feature, originally introduced in 2012, has evolved to include interactive charts and brokerage connections. The U.S. Cashtag Partner Program, launched in September, aims to streamline the process from discovering an investment to executing a trade. The initial roster of partners includes Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Coinbase, Gemini, and Kraken, with Webull being the latest addition. This expansion follows an earlier rollout in April that introduced interactive stock and crypto data for iPhone users in the U.S. and Canada.
Monique Pintarelli, X’s head of global advertising, highlighted the seamless transition from discovery and conversation to brokerage services enabled by the Cashtag partners. With over 28 million registered users globally, Webull brings a significant international presence to this network of financial service providers, offering investment services across 18 markets worldwide.
