Webull Teams Up with X to Streamline Crypto and Stock Trading
Webull has joined forces with X (formerly Twitter) as a Cashtag Partner, allowing users to easily access the investment platform’s trading services directly from financial discussions on the social network. Announced on October 2, this partnership enables investors to click on dollar-prefixed asset symbols, such as $BTC for bitcoin, and seamlessly connect to Webull’s trading tools. Anthony Denier, Webull’s group president and U.S. CEO, highlighted the significance of this integration, stating, "The next generation of investing will be defined by how seamlessly technology connects information, intelligence, and action."
The collaboration also opens new avenues for utilizing X’s data, including sentiment analysis, discussion trends, and market narratives, which could enhance the trading experience. These features complement the existing access to quotes, charts, and order tickets provided through the partnership. The agreement covers both company shares and digital assets, reflecting the different ways these assets represent ownership and value.
This integration builds on X’s earlier feature rollouts, including interactive stock and crypto data for iPhone users in the U.S. and Canada, and the launch of the U.S. Cashtag Partner Program in September. The program aims to streamline the process from discovering an investment to executing a trade. Other financial services providers, such as Interactive Brokers, Coinbase, and Kraken, have also joined the program, offering similar trading connections.
Monique Pintarelli, X’s head of global advertising, emphasized the convenience of the Cashtag partners, noting that they "make it possible to move seamlessly from discovery and conversation to a brokerage, without breaking the moment." With over 28 million registered users globally, Webull’s addition to the network further expands the range of financial services available through X’s platform.
