WEMIX Tokens Compromised in Massive Unauthorized Mint

The WEMIX blockchain gaming platform has reported an incident involving compromised contract ownership, resulting in the unauthorized minting of over 5.22 million WEMIX tokens.

Investigation results indicate that the attacker illicitly issued approximately 5,225,525 WEMIX, which was subsequently swapped for about 30,736 WEMIX and 724,198.27 USDC.e.

The stolen USDC.e was bridged to Ethereum and BSC, exchanged for assets such as ETH and USDT, with part of the funds deposited into centralized exchanges.

Market data shows that the WEMIX token price dropped by 16.65% in the past 24 hours.
