Western Union has partnered with Rain to introduce a Visa card tied to its dollar-pegged stablecoin, USDPT. The card allows users to make payments in USDPT at millions of Visa merchants worldwide.

The card is supported by Rain's mobile app, embedded wallet, and card processing backbone. At the point of sale, the card infrastructure automatically converts USDPT to the local fiat currency, so merchants receive traditional money while the cardholder spends stablecoins.

The integration is part of Western Union's strategy to modernize its cross-border payment offerings and tap into the growing demand for digital asset-based financial services. By issuing its own stablecoin and pairing it with a mainstream payment card, Western Union signals a shift in how legacy money transfer companies view blockchain technology.
