Whale Activity Fuels XRP Rally as Token Breaks Through Key Resistance
The recent rally of XRP has coincided with significant large-holder activity. According to data from Santiment, major holders amassed approximately 1.54 billion $XRP in just 96 hours. This accumulation translates to around $2.2 billion at the current price.
During the same period, Santiment recorded 1,917 transactions worth at least $100,000, marking the highest whale-level transaction count in about a month. However, it's essential to note that high-value transactions by themselves do not prove purchase, as they may indicate internal wallet movements, transfers, or sales.
The price recovery and accumulation data suggest improved market structure for XRP. The token has broken through the declining resistance line that governed price action from late-August, currently trading above all major moving averages displayed on the daily chart.
In addition to whale activity, new wallets were added to the XRP Ledger during the rally, with net inflows into the XRP ETF totaling around $1.73 billion by September 22nd.
