Whale Sells $39M in BTC Amid Market Weakness
A Bitcoin whale has dumped a significant portion of their holdings after returning to the market after over a year. According to data from Lookonchain, the whale deposited 625 $BTC worth $39.96 million into FalconX.
The whale had purchased these tokens when Bitcoin was trading around $96k and spent $59.98 million. Since then, BTC has decreased by approximately 33%, resulting in a loss of over $20 million for the whale.
This behavior diverges from the broader market sentiment among long-term holders (LTHs). In contrast to the whale's decision to sell, LTHs have significantly reduced spending, with the RHODL Ratio dropping to levels last seen in October 2023.
The low RHODL ratio suggests limited selling pressure from LTHs, and those exiting are a minority. The Sell Side Risk Ratio also remained extremely low at 0.000357, indicating that market pressure from LTH is very low.
