Whales Bet Big on ETH, SOL, and XRP as BTC Rally Continues
Crypto whales are shifting their focus beyond Bitcoin as the price of BTC continues to rally. According to market data, large holders are positioning themselves for stronger relative performance and higher-beta opportunities.
Ethereum (ETH) is emerging as a leading large-cap alternative for fresh crypto risk exposure. A recent whale transaction shows an approximately $44.85 million ETH perpetual long using 25x leverage, while another large position remains valued at roughly $107 million. This positioning places ETH at the center of the current rotation, particularly as traders seek assets with substantial liquidity and higher upside beta than Bitcoin.
Solana (SOL) is also attracting capital further up the risk curve. One whale recently opened a 100,000 SOL long position worth approximately $10.45 million with 20x leverage after previously generating substantial gains from an ETH trade. The transaction provides a clear example of capital being redeployed between major crypto assets toward a higher-beta opportunity.
Ripple (XRP) is attracting significant shares of capital through investment products, recording approximately $39.78 million in weekly net inflows. This demand is tied closely to its institutional adoption and payments narrative, giving investors a separate catalyst from the broader smart-contract and DeFi trade.
