Whales Buy Ethereum as Institutional Investors Pull Back
Ethereum whales are taking advantage of lower prices to increase their exposure to ETH. A large wallet recently exchanged 866 Bitcoin for 26,924 ETH worth approximately $64.57 million, with an average entry price near $2,430.
This purchase is part of a broader accumulation pattern, as other large holders have also rotated funds into ETH. Meanwhile, US spot Ether funds recorded net outflows of approximately $39 million on Thursday, marking their third consecutive withdrawal session.
The divergence between whale activity and ETF flows highlights the complexity of the Ethereum market. While institutional investors are reducing their exposure to ETH, direct buyers in the wider market are absorbing the selling created through these withdrawals.
