Whales Flock to Cardano Amid Van Rossem Hard Fork
Cardano's recent Van Rossem hard fork has sparked significant buying activity from large investors known as whales, according to data shared by market analyst Cardano Feed. This accumulation is a result of the unfolding events on the blockchain following the debut of Cardano's new network upgrade initiative.
The Van Rossem update rolled out on July 19 and upgraded Cardano's network to protocol version 11, introducing more scalable, cost-efficient smart contracts and enhanced node security. This marks the beginning of Cardano's next major development phase, known as the Dijkstra era, which aims to launch three key upgrades: Peras, Ouroboros Leios, and Nested Transactions.
The Van Rossem hard fork has attracted whale buyers on the network, indicating renewed confidence in the chain. Over the past five days, whales have purchased 240 million ADA tokens, enabling ADA to recover from its July lows and currently trade at $0.1921, up 22.8% and 5.6% over the past week and month, respectively.
