Whisper Unveils New Ecosystem at Korea Blockchain Week
Whisper, a Web3 super app developed by EQBR Holdings Co., Ltd., is set to unveil its new ecosystem at Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) in Seoul. The event will take place on September 30th at Grand WalkerHill in Seoul, where Paulus J. Lee, Founder of Whisper and Chairman of EQBR Holdings, will present the keynote.
The app itself has recorded 1.38 million cumulative downloads and offers a range of features including secure messaging, a digital wallet supporting over 10 blockchains and more than 100 assets, instant token swaps compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), a dApp store for browsing DeFi, NFT, GameFi, and SocialFi applications, and a curated news feed.
In testing, Whisper's underlying technology achieved confirmation times of three seconds and throughput of up to about 4,500 transactions per second on a single micro-chain. This is made possible by its patented system which uses a non-competitive consensus method and micro-chain architecture that lets different services run independently without slowing each other down.
According to Lee, 'Most people don't want to learn about blockchain. They want to message a friend, pay a merchant, and swap a token in one place, quickly and securely.' Whisper is built on the principles of making these everyday actions work smoothly on-chain, without requiring users to think about the chain.
