White-Hats Rescue Thousands of NFTs Amid Potential Magic Eden Vulnerability

A white-hat operation has taken control of 3,832 NFTs from hundreds of wallets after a potential vulnerability was discovered on Magic Eden. The transfer occurred on Friday and was flagged by an X user known as Cirrus.

Cirrus observed that the transactions appeared as sales through Magic Eden, prompting them to advise users to revoke permissions as a precaution.

Yuga Labs' 0xQuit, who has previously been involved in similar NFT rescue efforts, confirmed that the transfers were part of a white-hat operation. He stated that the affected NFTs are safe and will be returned once they are no longer at risk.

According to Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge, a vulnerability was discovered just hours before the transfer occurred. The company has yet to publicly confirm that its contracts were exploited, but is expected to share more information soon.
