The White House has announced that it will be hosting a technology event on August 19, but prediction market firms have been left out of the invitation.

The event is expected to include President Donald Trump and executives from several major cryptocurrency and venture capital firms, including Ripple, Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Chainlink, and Paradigm.

Prediction markets are platforms where users can trade contracts based on the outcome of future events, such as elections or economic indicators. However, these platforms have faced regulatory scrutiny in the U.S., particularly from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
