Whitechain Relaunches as Distribution-First Ethereum Layer 2
Whitechain is relaunching as a distribution-first Ethereum Layer 2 platform, designed to address one of the biggest challenges facing Web3 projects: reaching and acquiring users. The platform is built on top of OP Stack infrastructure and combines exchange-powered distribution with financial support and access to users.
The relaunch is supported by W Group, a global fintech ecosystem that reaches more than 40 million users worldwide, alongside WhiteBIT, a cryptocurrency exchange with over 10 million users. By bringing these capabilities together, Whitechain aims to connect on-chain infrastructure with the distribution power of an established financial and crypto ecosystem.
Traditionally, L2 networks have competed on technical performance, scalability, and transaction costs. However, Whitechain is putting distribution at the center of its model, offering a new approach to addressing user acquisition challenges. The platform will provide three tracks for projects at different stages of development: funding and growth opportunities for early-stage teams, strategic ecosystem deals for established protocols, and chain expansion support for multichain protocols.
Whitechain plans to introduce Day 1 primitives, including a native DEX, oracle, and bridge, providing developers with the core infrastructure needed to build applications and move liquidity across the ecosystem. The platform will launch on August 18th, and projects interested in building or migrating to Whitechain can apply through the Whitechain ecosystem program.
