WisdomTree Eyes Texas Stock Exchange for ETF Listing
WisdomTree, a major ETF sponsor, is reportedly considering listing one of its exchange-traded funds on the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), according to a post on X. The move, if confirmed, would mark a significant win for the fledgling exchange, which has only been operational since July 2026. WisdomTree has not yet officially confirmed these plans as of early October 2026.
TXSE, approved by the SEC in 2025, has been making strides in the ETF space. It logged its first primary ETF listings in mid-September 2026 when Texas Capital moved two funds, TXS and OILT, from NYSE Arca. The exchange also secured $430 million in funding, with support from major players like BlackRock and JPMorgan. Corporate listings, including those from Texas Capital Bancshares and Energy Transfer, are also in the pipeline.
WisdomTree’s potential listing stands out because the exchange’s current ETF roster has a strong regional focus. Unlike local players, WisdomTree is a nationally recognized ETF brand with a diverse portfolio. The firm has recently expanded its defined-return ETFs and has been active in tokenization, with over $1.2 billion in tokenized fund assets on its WisdomTree Onchain platform.
The implications for both issuers and investors are significant. Primary listings on TXSE mean fees, visibility, and a challenge to established exchanges like NYSE Arca, which has already lost two funds to Texas this year. The key questions moving forward include whether WisdomTree will confirm the listing, if other national sponsors will follow suit, and whether TXSE can evolve into a full-service exchange beyond regional funds.
