WLFI Plummets 11-12% Amid Whale Selloff and Technical Weakness
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has plummeted by 11-12% over the last 33 hours due to a concentrated whale selloff on Binance and technical weakness. A significant event occurred when approximately 9.66 million WLFI was sold in just 14 minutes, worth around $501,000 at $0.048 per token.
This sell cluster represented about 5% of total 24h volume and took place when WLFI was already down by 12.4% for the session. Analysts described this move as a '10.5% dump on 3.7× normal volume,' which they characterized as distribution into panic rather than a clean capitulation bottom.
They mapped near-term targets lower into the $0.046-0.0445 area while looking to short bounces around $0.0505-0.0522, explicitly connecting heightened volume with a bearish structure across hourly, daily, and weekly timeframes, as well as with BTC direction.
WLFI's technical chart was already weak, sitting below the 200-day EMA and trying to reach support with a lower high, which is classic bear-trend behavior on higher timeframes. When short-term volume spikes hit a chart that is already technically weak, the path of least resistance is lower.
Behind the immediate selloff, there are structural and narrative factors that made WLFI especially vulnerable to a double-digit slide even while the broader market barely moved.
