Wood Reassesses Satoshi's Coins Amid Quantum Computing Breakthrough
ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood has expressed changing views on the long-dormant BTC attributed to Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto, thanks to recent research in artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
Speaking on ARK Invest's FYI podcast, Wood discussed potential threats that quantum computers could pose to Bitcoin's cryptographic systems in the future. She noted that AI is accelerating quantum research, and Bitcoin developers are using the same technology to enhance network security.
The movement of BTC linked to Satoshi Nakamoto may have various causes, including the owner moving coins to new addresses or switching to more secure signature systems to protect against a potential quantum threat. Alternatively, attackers could gain access to private keys.
