World Chain is set to become the first layer-2 network to deploy block access list technology on its mainnet on August 17. This upgrade, implemented through Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 7928, aims to boost transaction throughput and reduce latency within World Chain's Flashblock architecture.

Block access lists pre-specify which storage slots and addresses a transaction will access, enabling the network to optimize transaction processing and improve efficiency. In World Chain, this technology is expected to enable processing capacity of up to one gigagas per second, a significant increase over current layer-2 capabilities.

The implementation will stream block access lists every 200 milliseconds, aligning with the network's Flashblock design. This move positions World Chain at the forefront of layer-2 scaling innovation and potentially sets a new standard for performance in the ecosystem.
