World Chain is upgrading its mainnet to improve blockchain scalability and decentralization. Starting August 17, the network will deploy EIP-7928 block access lists every 200 milliseconds, allowing for parallel transaction verification. This upgrade enables validators to verify transactions simultaneously during block assembly, reducing latency and enhancing throughput.

The increased validation speed is expected to reach up to 1 gigagas per second without requiring any additional hardware upgrades for validators. World Chain's implementation of EIP-7928 precedes Ethereum's planned adoption in the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade, providing a more accessible way for validators to upgrade without a hard fork.

This marks the first production use of streamed EIP-7928 data, contributing significantly to blockchain scaling and decentralization efforts. World Chain is at the forefront of implementing this technology, paving the way for improved network performance in the future.
