World Foundation Secures $52.5M from WLD Token Sale
The World Foundation has secured $52.5 million in funding through the sale of WLD tokens, all subject to a one-year lockup period.
This round, referred to as the 'first close', was led by Pantera Capital and included participation from various investors such as Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital, and Susquehanna Crypto.
The funds will be used to expand World ID technology globally for organizations, consumers, and artificial intelligence agents. Since its launch three years ago, the network has seen over 39 million people join, with more than 18 million completing verification through the Orb.
With this transaction, the project accumulates approximately $492.5 million in total funding. World ID currently integrates with platforms such as Zoom, DocuSign, Okta, and Tinder.
