World Money Stablecoin App Integrates Biometric ID Verification
Sam Altman's World, a venture run by Tools for Humanity cofounders Sam Altman and Alex Blania, has launched its stablecoin super app called World Money. The app allows users to send and receive payments in over 150 countries, trade assets including gold and established tokens, and earn yields on their deposits through the Morpho protocol.
The key feature that sets World Money apart is its integration with World ID's iris-scanning biometric verification system. Users can verify their identity using the Orb hardware and receive boosted rewards in the Earn section of the app.
WLD, the project's token, saw a significant jump of over 15% to around $0.4274 on the day of the launch, with a 24-hour trading volume of over $303 million according to CryptoRank.io. The market reaction indicates that investors see World Money as an innovative and potentially game-changing development in the crypto space.
Tools for Humanity has spent years building its user base across dozens of countries, preparing them for the launch of World Money. This extensive groundwork is a key factor in the app's ability to reach a wide audience quickly.
