Worldcoin Price Soars as Sam Altman-Backed World Money Launches Globally
Worldcoin (WLD) price surged by over 15% on September 18 as Sam Altman-backed World Money launched across more than 150 countries. The token reached an intraday high of $0.434 after closing around $0.384 on September 17.
The launch of World Money brought new attention to the World ecosystem, combining stablecoins, payments, trading, and earning in a self-custodial app. The app supports stablecoin balances across eight currencies and allows users to send supported digital assets across borders.
World Money also includes portfolio tracking, transaction history, and price alerts. WLD is directly included in the platform's Earn section, where eligible users can deposit Worldcoin and other supported assets into programs powered by Morpho.
