Wyoming Blockchain Stampede Kicks Off with Lawmakers, Regulators, and Experts in Attendance
The ninth annual Wyoming Blockchain Stampede is underway at the University of Wyoming. This week-long event brings together lawmakers, regulators, and academics to discuss blockchain and digital innovation technologies. The conference opens with welcome remarks from University of Wyoming President Shane Reeves and Caitlin Long, CEO and founder of Custodia Bank.
The Wyoming Legislature's Select Committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation Technology held a public meeting Monday and Tuesday in the Wyoming Union building. State Sen. Chris Rothfuss and Rylan O'Bryan are among the scheduled speakers at the Stampede. Regulators Anthony Apollo and Jeremy Bishop will also share their insights.
The event is organized by the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation (CBDI). Other notable speakers include Dan Conway, chair of the US Blockchain National Body, and Julie Hill, dean of the UW College of Law. The Stampede will commemorate the late Steve Lupien with an industry networking event and dinner on Tuesday.
The Wyoming Blockchain Stampede is free and open to the public. Preregistration is required for the Tuesday dinner and a Wednesday lunch pass. Doors open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, welcoming activities begin at 8:45 a.m., and panel presentations start at 9 a.m.
