Wyoming Bolsters FRNT Transparency with Chainlink Integration

Wyoming has taken another step in strengthening transparency around its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) by integrating Chainlink's Proof of Reserve infrastructure. The move aims to provide regulators with near-real-time visibility into reserves, addressing potential gaps in monthly reporting.

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission already publishes daily reserve attestations, but the addition of on-chain verification through Chainlink's Proof of Reserve adds an extra layer of transparency. This process involves Network Firm reviews of FRNT reserves and token supply according to AICPA standards, with verified reserve data then posted on-chain by Chainlink.

The commission plans to adopt a new system called Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which will prevent the issuance of new FRNTs until verified reserves are equal to or larger than outstanding supply. This design could help reduce risks associated with excessive token creation and provide institutions with stronger tools for assessing state digital assets.
