Wyoming Bolsters FRNT Transparency with Chainlink Proof of Reserve
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has expanded its use of Chainlink infrastructure to strengthen transparency around its Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT. The commission added Proof of Reserve, which provides onchain verification of reserve data, in addition to its existing daily reserve attestations.
Chainlink's Proof of Reserve adds an extra layer of security by posting verified reserve data onchain, allowing for near-real-time visibility into reserves. This addresses gaps that monthly reporting can leave between disclosures.
The commission plans to adopt Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which will not allow for the issuance of new FRNTs until verified reserves are equal to or larger than outstanding supply. This design could reduce risks linked to excessive token creation and provide institutions with stronger tools for assessing a state digital asset.
