Wyoming Bolsters Stablecoin Transparency with Chainlink Integration
The state of Wyoming is enhancing its stablecoin offering by integrating Chainlink's Proof of Reserve technology. This move will provide near-real-time on-chain reserve verification for the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), which is backed by US dollars and short-term US Treasurys.
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission stated that it adopted Chainlink's Proof of Reserve to publish verified data on FRNT's reserves and token supply on-chain. This integration combines independent examinations by The Network Firm with Chainlink's infrastructure, allowing for timely visibility into changes in FRNT's backing between reporting periods.
The commission is also working to adopt Chainlink's Secure Mint feature, which requires verified reserves to equal or exceed FRNT's total supply before new tokens can be minted. This move comes after Wyoming fully migrated FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) two weeks ago.
