Wyoming Stable Token Abandons LayerZero for Chainlink’s Secure CCIP

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has switched its state-issued stable token from LayerZero to Chainlink's CCIP after discovering repeated security lapses at LayerZero Labs.

According to a comprehensive review conducted by the Commission, LayerZero lost control of a critical private key tied to a live FRNT deployment and mishandled production authorization, compromising the security of the token.

The decision to switch to Chainlink's CCIP was made after evaluating LayerZero against alternative infrastructure providers on security grounds. The Commission found that Chainlink's CCIP met its strict security requirements, with 16 independent node operators and SOC 2 Type 2 certification for security.

Chainlink's CCIP has processed over $33 trillion in on-chain transaction value and has a strong reputation for security, with 50 security audits under its belt. The switch to Chainlink's CCIP is now complete across all eight blockchain networks supporting FRNT.
