Dogecoin Team Springs Elaborate April Fools' Prank on Community
The Dogecoin team pulled off an elaborate April Fools' prank on its community by announcing sweeping changes, including a corporate overhaul and rebranding efforts. The post claimed that Dogecoin would be restructuring into DogeCoin Financial Solutions LLC, effective immediately, and would retire its iconic Shiba Inu logo in favor of a new navy blue emblem.
The team also announced the publication of a 67-page whitepaper titled Toward a Synergistic Decentralized Liquidity Framework and said it would rebrand its community from the DOGE Army to 'stakeholders.' Furthermore, they declared that all communications would drop the words 'wow,' 'much,' and 'very' due to legal reasons.
The post even included a tongue-in-cheek announcement that DogeCoin Financial Solutions had signed an LOI to acquire DogeOS and MyDoge, with plans to release MyDoge V3 as an AI-powered astronomy app. However, most community members quickly identified the post as an April Fools' joke.
