X Enables Direct Trading for US Users Through Updated Cashtag Feature
Elon Musk's company X has taken its Cashtag Partner Program to the next level by allowing users to trade assets directly from the platform. This new feature, available exclusively to U.S. users for now, enables users to access trading platforms without leaving X.
The change comes after years of Cashtags serving as a tool for market information and discovery. Now, with the addition of a 'Trade' button, users can seamlessly transition from browsing asset-related conversations to executing trades on participating exchanges such as Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, Interactive Brokers, and Moomoo.
X is not directly facilitating trades but rather acting as a bridge between the user's interest in an asset and the trading platform. This integration aims to streamline the process of buying or selling assets, closing the gap between market information and action.
